Community Development Programs
Community development is a holistic approach grounded in principles of empowerment, human rights, inclusion, social justice, self-determination and collective action (Susan Kenny, 2007). Through these programs, MOCS works with local communities to co-design projects that address their needs.
Description
BM International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT) is a Project held every year organised by a committee of community volunteers and peer organisations to address prejudice in the community towards the LGBTQI+ (Lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex, queer people and other sexuality and gender diverse people) community.
